As the number of COVID-19 cases in the United States dramatically increased, health care workers sounded the alarm about shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE). Across the country, scores of health care facilities are facing shortages of essential supplies to safeguard personal health.
One of the most sought-after items is the medical face mask, used to protect the wearer from airborne particles and from liquid contaminating the face. Approved by the FDA, CDC and OSHA these respirator masks are absolutely critical in offering protection for our valued health care workers and first responders.
Saint-Gobain North America secured KN95 respiratory masks to support the communities in which we live, work and play. On behalf of Saint-Gobain Crystals Ohio facilities, 750 KN95 masks were donated to our local first responders; Newbury Volunteer Fire Department, Troy Township Volunteer Fire Department, Geauga County Sheriff’s Office.
